Paul Marley Bio:
A graduate of the
University of British Columbia's Faculty of Commerce (Accounting Option),
Paul specializes in the identification, financing and management of early
stage development companies. His career started in the packaged goods
industry with Procter & Gamble, J. Walter Thompson and General Foods, and
from there he branched out into entrepreneurial pursuits in industries as
varied as aquaculture, financial services, retailing and telecommunications.
These activities were conducted in such diverse international communities as
Bermuda, England, Ireland, the Channel Islands, France, Australia &
Thailand.
From 1992-1999, Paul
was engaged by a Vancouver, Canada based telecom firm that built a +US$30M
fiber optic link between Vancouver, B.C. and Seattle, Washington. He served
the Company as a Director, as well as Vice President-Corporate Development -
a portfolio that included corporate finance, investor relations and merger &
acquisition activities.
Since 2000, Paul has continued to
focus on helping private companies get to the next level, initially through his company
(RainForest Management) and now as a Sr. Associate
with Rampworth. While he works in all aspects of company development,
Paul shares the Rampworth passion for building value prior to a financing
event (debt or equity).
Paul was born in
Medford, Oregon, U.S.A. and obtained Canadian citizenship status in 1975. An
avid squash player and golfer, Paul has been married to Marnie since 1964,
and they have two children, Ryan (1975) and Jason (1979)
